Gringo Star - "You Want It"
Gringo Star is from Atlanta, Georgia with their track "You Want It" which was recorded live at the WFMU studios in December of 2011. The track is off their sophomore album entitled Count Yer Lucky Stars. Check out Gringo Star at SXSW on March 15th at the Parish for the AudioTree Party and March 16 at the Red Eyed Fly for their official showcase.
Lame Drivers - "Frozen Eggs"
Lame Drivers is from Brooklyn, New York. This 3 piece indie band has played all across the US with such acts as The Gossip, We Are Wolves, Flipper and Oxford Collapse. The track is called "Frozen Eggs". You can check Lame Drivers at SXSW on March 15th at the Sleeping Giant Showcase.
ROOMRUNNER - "Super Vague"
Baltimore's own Roomrunner brings there heavy riff rock to SXSW playing a grip of shows including a couple showcases. Check them out on March 15th at the Panache Offical Showcase and t eh Impose Magazine Showcase. The track is called "Super Vague" and it was recorded live in the WFMU Studios.
Deadstring Brothers - "Heavy Load"
Alternative country/rock band Deadstring Brothers are from Detirot, Michigan. Their style is somewhat reminiscent of the Rolling Stones' Exile on Main Street. Check them out on March 15th at the Sin City Social Club. The track is called "Heavy Load" off their album Silver Mountain.
Finn Riggins - "Wake"
Finn Riggins is from Bosie, Idaho. Dynamic, quirky and highly energetic the indie rock trio has made a name for itself around the West and the greater US as road warriors from the oft-overlooked state of Idaho over the last several years. The track is called "Wake". The band won't actually be making the trek to SXSW this year but will rather be playing the Sun Valley Film Festival in Ketchcum, ID with Built to Spill.
