Episode #10 is up NOW!

Episode #10 of The Fro Show is up now on iTunes, Stitcher and Mixcloud. It is featuring indie rock tracks from:

Stephane TV - Chosen
Following the path marked by their first EP released in 2009, Stephane TV keep on casting a melodic spell into nostalgic and contemporary landscapes. A mix of ringing guitars, heartfelt basslines and polished drum beats weave around the emotive sweep of imaginative lyrics.

Awarded “Band of the Week” on Jamendo, they have been gathering considerable attention and favorable reviews from music magazines and independent radios.

After a couple of line-up changes, they have now a concrete stable foundation, four new tracks - namely the third ep coming - already down on tape and supposedly out on May 2013.

If you want to hear more, sTV took part in A Day in the Life - John Lennon Revisited, a compilation dedicated to John Lennon with the song Real Love, and Tow the Line - songs by Nick Drake, with Place To Be. You can give a listen on our YouTube channel or our label’s site.

Celebration - Tomorrow's Here Today
Celebration is a psychedelic soul band based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

Celebration is composed of singer Katrina Ford, multi-instrumentalist Sean Antanaitis and drummer David Bergander, with a number of additional rotating members: Walker Teret plays bass, sometimes guitar, percussion and backing vocals, Tony Drummond, plays keys, percussion and backing vocals, Tommy Rouse plays guitar and percussion.

In the beginning the band as a three piece’s sound was centered around the unique output provided by all the instruments played by Antanaitis in the studio as well as live. He would play all of the music in the band including organ, Moog bass pedals, guitorgan and electric keys, leaving Ford on vocals and Bergander on drums. Their first two records were produced with David Sitek of TV on the Radio. In addition to producing, Sitek also contributed guitar parts and synths. Other noteworthy members on the albums include Martin Perna and Stewart Bogle who contributed flute and sax into the mix.

Singer Katrina Ford also performed backing vocals on TV on the Radio’s song “Wolf Like Me” off their album Return to Cookie Mountain.

Their newest record, self produced “Electric Tarot: Hello Paradise” (Friends Records) is the result of home/hometown recording with additional members. The tarot theme is woven into the meanings and content of the music itself.

PALMS - Oasis
With a mix of retro, surf and modern indie rock sounds that is uniquely their own, Tempe AZ's PALMS is a self-described “beach soul” band that, in just a few short months since their formation in August 2012, have taken the local music scene by storm, with JAVA Music Editor Mitchell Hillman writing for Echo Cloud Productions that “with each performance I’ve seen, their power, presence and ability to completely devour my soul has grown exponentially.”

As a part of Tempe, AZ's blossoming local scene, PALMS have quickly made waves, having been invited to play the 2012 Apache Lake Musical Festival, Gumptionfest 2012 and the 2012 Oak Creek Music Festival, as well as being featured in such online publications as the Phoenix New Times, Sounds Around Town, The Spec, Echo Cloud and Valley Music Artists and on such local radio stations as KWSS AND KUKQ. The band has just recently released the first of four singles that are scheduled for release this year, all of which will be produced by the inimitable Bob Hoag of Flying Blanket Recording. The band is also headed out on a spring tour of the southwest that will culminate with three showcase performances at South by Southwest in Austin, TX.

Divenere - Monochromatic Butterfly
Divenere was start in Rome in September 2005. The project started from the past and different experiences that they had with their previous bands, while maintaining their own personal style of music combing influences from new wave rock, electronic music and heavy driven guitars. The opening of their own recording space (the “Oz Record Studio”) allowed the band to be in complete control of the whole song-writing process and the production of the recordings, so that the songs came out exactly how the band wanted them to sound like.
