Episode #19 is up NOW!

Episode #19 of the Fro Show is up now on our iTunes and Stitcher feeds.

This episode features ska/punk tracks from:

Loudog - "Coming Home"
Make sure you're wearing your dancing shoes, because this dog will make you move your feet!
Influenced by ska, reggae and punk music, LOUDOG is taking their listeners on a wild journey through different genres and styles that evokes memories of bands like Mad Caddies, The Slackers or Sublime. The latter played a special role for the band, having an enormous impact on their music. As a demonstration of respect, the band decided to name themselves after the dalmatian of Sublime's singer Bradley Nowell: Lou Dog.

Since the band came together in 2001 they quickly moved forward, touring all over Germany, recording two albums and gaining popularity in the ska-punk community. LOUDOG have been playing more than 100 concerts since. They shared the stage with the big names of the scene: Mad Caddies (USA), The Toasters (USA), Karamelo Santo(Argentina), The Real McKenzies (Canada), The Slackers (USA) and many others.

Their first albums "Party Thieves" (2006) and "Waste Your Time" (2007), both released on the independent label Spreadmusic, have gained much respect by the audience and german Ska- and Punkzines, such as Wahrschauer and Plastic Bomb and even internationally, as by the well known "Do the Dog Skazine" in its March 2008 issue:

"German 6 piece outfit Cumshot have changed their name to LOUDOG & released a cool new album, titled "Waste Your Time" on Spread Music Records. Much like their last album, "Party Thieves", Loudog’s new release is a good time party of dance inducing tunes mixing up 3rd wave ska, punk & reggae styles. (...)" (myspace.com/dothedogmusic)

The new album "Kito" has been released in 2009 by Al Dente Recordz. In October 2010 the album has been released for free download on Jamendo.

Autonomadic - "Island"
It's been seven years since the Seattle-based punk trio Autonomadic first formed, but they're rocking harder now than ever. In September the indie label Bleeding Ear released the band's new album, Gift of the Sun. This twenty-track scorcher retains Autonomadic's old-school SoCal-punk spirit, but updates their gritty sound with creamier guitar tones and richer backing harmonies.

Autonomadic's new album Gift of the Sun is loaded with catchy hooks and provoking lyrics. It will start hammering away at you from the very first track, "Burn," with its infectious Oi-style chorus. Next, the fierce burst of angst from "Discordia" will knock you clean over. Then the poppy "Blood & Guts" will bounce in, to sweep up the wreckage; and you'll be hooked until the dying strains of the bittersweet anthem "Postcards," on track twenty.

The trio first established their punk-rock swagger back in 2003 with a self-released EP,Sterilize the Poor in Spirit. Over the next two years Autonomadic toured like bandits up and down the West Coast, from Anchorage, Alaska to Orange County, California; from Edmonton, Alberta to Reno, Nevada. Finally they paused in 2005 to record a full-length album, Lies, Fear, & Hate.

But then the band's original drummer, Chad Schultz, quit, burnt out from the late nights and long drives. The two remaining members, guitarist Justin Ludwig and bassist Todd Weaver, spent months searching for the right replacement. They found him in musical prodigy Robert Baker, who was just seventeen at the time.

Slowly Autonomadic got back up to speed with their new drummer, recording a fiery seven-song EP, The Missionary, in 2007. Then the band took a year off to deal with some personal issues. In the fall of 2008 the trio got back together, and began working furiously on new material — the results of which would become Gift of the Sun. Now they're back in action, playing shows in Seattle, and touring in support of their new album.

Sweet Danger - "I Need to Know"
The Sweet Danger born in November 2010 with the meeting between Simone Sciarrini (lead vocals and guitar) and Flavio Scipione (drums). Shortly after will be added Francesco Capuani (lead guitar) and Giordano Paoletti (bass guitar).

In May of 2011 they record their self-titled first demo which makes them out to label "This is core music".  In December comes out the ep titled "City Nights", consisting of 6 tracks and their first video.

The kind of band is a mixture between Sum 41, Green Day, Bush, Nirvana, Staind, 30 Seconds To Mars. The band continues live activities in Italy.

Floppy Dee - "Climate Change"
Solo artist from Emden, Germany.

Melodic in Fusion - "The Future is the Past"
"Melodic In Fusion" is a band from the southwest of germany writing and playing music for approx. 10 years.
