Episode #11 of the Fro Show is up NOW!

The Fro Show #11 by Four Eyed Radio on Mixcloud

Episode #11 of the Fro Show is up NOW on iTunes, Stitcher and Mixcloud. #11 features Hip Hop tracks from:

Tab & A.U.R.C - RubixBox
Dead Poets is an American hip hop duo from New Jersey, consisting of rapper/ producer “Tab” and rapper “Renagade”. They perform both as the group, Dead Poets, and independently in an array of venues. Based from Roselle, NJ, they have built an impressive following within the Tri-State area and are expanding rapidly across the country. They were originally known as “Dead Poet Society”, but later changed the group’s name to “Dead Poets”. The group’s style consists true to the hip-hop foundation of lyrical skills with themes across the board, from love & hate to the urban party scene. With a large portion of the production done by “Tab”, the self-taught musician (guitars, live drums, programming) uses a mixture of samples and live instruments to create boom-bap heavy melodic tunes, infusing anything from old school rap to rock to reggae. Their infused melodies are complimented well with sung hooks by both. The group consists mainly of the 2 rappers, but expands by 4 additional members to a hip-hop/rock live band (Empyre Village) for shows. They are often compared to a mix between “Wu Tang Clan” meets “Sublime”. They have independently released three mix-tape/albums: “The Kenny Chang Tapes” in 2008, “To The Grave” in 2009, and “The Empty Bottle Project” in 2010 all availble for free download at http://www.empyrevillage.com now. The group has collaborated with artist such as “Mr Doitall” (Lords Of The Underground), Pacewon (Outsidaz), and many others. They have become very well know for thier intense and party-like stage presence. The duo have shared the stage with acts “Wu Tang Clan”, “Red Cafe”, “Masta Ace”, “Sadat X” (Brand Nubian), “Immortal Technique”, “Jedi Mind Tricks”, “Outsidaz”, “Artifacts”, and many more. The group have recently released their new official album “Village Idiots”.

Devaine - Synesthesia
Devaine (born June, 1990), is a Canadian recording artist from Toronto, Ontario.

Inspired heavily by artists: Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z and Rakim, he is considered a “hip hop talent that does not base his style off of mainstream trends.”

His sound is soulful and classic, with lyrics that are witty and sharp, producing a contrast that works flawlessly.

His new mix tape SYNESTHESIA is now available for download.

Dead Poets - Bottles of Reason
The Dead Poets are an underground hip-hop ground out of NJ. The group consists of {producer/emcee} Tab and Renagade {emcee}. Dead Poets have been on the NY/NJ
underground scene for over three years now and continue to build a buzz. With Renagade getting shine from the battle scene and Tab mixing in elements of live music and different genres, their sound can reach all sorts of audiences. The Poets have been lucky enough to do songs with and share the stage with some legendary hip-hop acts — Mr.DoitAll, Immortal Technique, Masta Ace, Sadat X, Wu-Tang, PaceWon and many others. So far they have release three albums — The Kenny Chang Tapes, To the Grave, and the newest The Empty Bottle Project. With more releases planned in 2011, it should be a wild year for the Dead Poets.

Coolzey - Enjoy Your Holiday
Coolzey was borne out of the cornfields of central Iowa in 1976. A boy who for some unexplained reason grew up only being able to listen to roughneck east coast hip hop and Weird Al Yankovic began looping tapes and rhyming into boomboxes in the 80s. After that there was Pavement, the Wu-Tang Clan, mushrooms, sex, and America. This is the rezult.

The Insider - The Great Break-off
The Insider is a hip-hop group founded by electronic jazz musician Jonah Dempcy in 2008. Following in the footsteps of producers like DJ Premier, Flying Lotus and DJ Cam, The Insider releases music more concerned with capturing a vibe than making you think or dance.
